A World That Prays Together Stays Together

Millions of people conversing with God at the same moment! This is beautiful. But -- it's not enough. People coming together to meditate and pray is as old as humankind. For hundreds of years, the Muslims of the world have been facing Mecca five times a day at specific hours to pray to Allah. The Unity Church, the Transcendental Meditation Society, Nichiren Shoshu, and many others have for years conducted group prayer circles and meditations.

And it's true: There is nothing in the history of our world that approaches the power we now have, through the global reach of the Internet, to join our prayers for healing and peace. WorldPuja, our host for this upcoming broadcast, was formed for just this purpose. Now in its third year, the site has attracted such speakers as the Dalai Lama, Jimmy Twyman, Deepak Chopra, Gregg Braden, Tom Kenyon, Neale Donald Walsch, James Redfield, and myself -- all volunteering their time and energy to help the world find meditation and prayer as a real means to world healing and peace.

But until we possess and live the essence of the knowledge of prayer that has been presented in this volume of the Spirit of Ma'at -- until we can learn to "live in the wish fulfilled" -- then despite our prayers, the world will not change.

I hope that you will take seriously what I am saying here. In the pages of this webzine, we may find the tools we need to help change our world. But only if we use them. I know in my heart that if we care enough not only to understand but, most importantly, to live the information presented here, we will be able, together, to create Paradise here on Mother Earth.
