Letters from Drunvalo 1.4

Last month, we made another Pilgrimage, this time to the chakra temples of the Mayans — visiting the places where I left crystals on my trip with Ken Page more than a decade ago. This journey was even more incredible, if possible, than the one we made in the Southwest (see Letters from Drunvalo 1-1, 1-2, and 1-3). Once again, our group of Pilgrims came from all over the world. As we entered Mayaland, the Iraq war had just begun, and the healing we were dreaming came from deep in all our hearts. I'll begin to tell you about this trip next month.

One question I keep receiving has to do with the fact that I do not seem to be doing quite so many workshops this year. It's true. There will be two one-day workshops soon, where I will be teaching the Living in the Heart Meditation (see Drunvalo.net/schedule.htm) but because I have felt the necessity of making these long Pilgrimages for the healing of Mother Earth, I have had to cut down on other activities.

THE PATH OF WAR AND THE GATHERING DREAM
More than anything else, people have been asking me to speak about this war with Iraq. Since the whole world is focused on this war, it's not an unreasonable request.

Before I offer my views, I need to stress that what I have to say represents my beliefs only. I am just one person. There are other ways of seeing war, and especially this war with Iraq. I ask you to read what follows in that spirit.

My thinking about this war, and therefore my discussion of it, has three aspects. First, there is my personal view of the war as a political event.

Second, I am aware of an historical view, also presented in the "Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life" (Volume 1), going back to the story of Atlantis.

Finally, because of the great power of the human heart and our recent advances in consciousness, there is what I call the "Gathering Dream" — a place where great hope and inspiration may be found, even within the darkness of this war.

PART I — MY OWN POLITICAL VIEW

Most Americans, and most of the world, agree that Saddam Hussein is a brutal tyrant who places no value on human life except his own and his friends', and that he should be removed from power. I am one of those who advocate his leaving office and being replaced by someone who cares about the people of Iraq and the world.

But there are deeper issues underlying Hussein's removal that we Americans are barely touching upon. And if these deeper issues are not addressed and answered, there will only be more Saddams in the future (in Syria, for example), and more wars. Unless we understand the basic problem, removing Arab leaders will only create more Arab leaders who continue to resist us.

We need to ask ourselves, first of all, why Saddam — and others, like Osama Bin Laden — have been given so much power in the first place. Is it not because almost the entire Arab world sees the Western technological world — with America as its head and Israel as its right arm — as the body of Satan?

I remember when Bush was on TV, soon after 9-11, so shocked to find out that the Arab world hated America and American ideals, hated the American people enough to want to threaten us and take our lives. He looked out at the camera and said, in a childlike voice, "Why do they hate us? We haven't done anything to them." But is it really true that we haven't done anything to the Arabs?

Have not our materialism and greed, our sexual promiscuity and international pornography, the violence in our music, movies, and on our streets, our willful destruction of the environment at the cost of the planet itself — have not all these Western traits, and more, given the Arab world the right to believe that we are acting from the heart of Darkness?

I think it's actually true that our actions and the way we live our everyday lives are slowly killing the Arab culture — at least as they see it.

For example, the Arab world believes in the Koran as their Holy Book. And in the Koran, women are commanded to be modest. To cover their bodies. Yet our women go to Arab countries dressed as they would be here in America, with their bodies overly exposed. This behavior is inconceivable and obscene to an Arab. And then, when their women begin to copy these American women — low-cut blouses, short skirts, lipstick — they see this as the beginning of the end of their culture. For the Arab men, the modesty of women, as directed by their Holy Book, is something to die for.

And this is only one problem, only one way in which our refusal to honor Arab customs, even in their own countries, creates the hatred of America that we are experiencing throughout the world.

Bush's response to Arab disgust for American behavior is to attack the Arabs themselves, overpower them — try to make them over in our own image!

For the first time in American history, we attacked a country that had not attacked us. And in doing so, we made real the Arabs' greatest nightmare: that America would try to alter the Islamic world's religion and its culture through force.

Remember the photographs of the Iraqi soldiers who surrendered just a few days ago [week of April 13]? They had not only given up their guns, but had taken off their military uniforms and were walking back to "civilization" wearing Western clothes. By wearing our clothes, they were surrendering not only the war but their culture. What an image! This is Islam's greatest fear, and it's happening.

Now, having attacked Afghanistan and Iraq, we are threatening war with Syria. If this happens, the Arab world may finally take a united stance, and then true Holy Jihad — the uniting of all the Arabs of the world in a holy war, in this case against America and all it stands for — could begin. It would be World War III. And we are really on the edge.

Unfortunately, Jihad has been Saddam's dream. It has even occurred to me that Saddam might purposefully have allowed his country to be overrun by the enormous American war machine in the expectation that this suicidal act would instill enough outrage (and pity) in the Islamic world that they would answer his call for Jihad.

I think that a second "preemptive" war against another Arab country after Iraq would be an act of insanity. We might as well say, "Come on, I dare you to all join together. Let's have a World War." And Bush, in his arrogance, would say, "We will win!" — not thinking of the

millions who could die.

PART II — ATLANTIS AND CURRENT EVENTS

What I am about to say may stretch your powers of belief. You will have to make up your own mind about the truth or falsity of the view of world history that I am about to relate to you. With that caveat, I present the following "story."

There exists a hidden and clandestine worldview that underlies world events. In order to understand this, we must go back many thousands of years to the Lost Continent of Atlantis. With knowledge of the esoteric history that began in those times, present-day events take on a whole different appearance, and make sense where before they appeared illogical.

In the "Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life," I spoke of a world situation described to me by Thoth, where a new continent rose in the Atlantic ocean about 60-70,000 years ago, stretching from the coast of present-day America all the way to the Gates of Gibraltar. This continent was called Atlantis.

Thoth spoke about how the Tree of Life was placed over this new continent, and Life was breathed into the Tree so that there were ten vortexes rotating precisely within the centers of the circles of the Tree of Life — ten areas of habitation on this new continent.

At this time, the Lemurians — those who had survived the sinking of Lemuria, and who had mostly been living in the area from present-day Northern California to southern Peru — began to find their way to Atlantis. And when they arrived, the Lemurians were attracted to the vortexes, for they harmonized with the Lemurians' particular level of evolution. As it happened, only eight of the vortexes were used by the Lemurians, leaving two completely vacant.

It was in this historical "moment" that something brand new took place on Earth. From a time in the future — and with the permission of Galactic Command — the Jews emerged upon the Earth, and took up residence in one of the two empty vortexes.

At this time, the Jews were an advanced race, returning to Earth because they had made a wrong turn in their evolution. Thoth said they were like school children who didn't understand something and had to "go back" and take a grade over again.

And so the Jews joined their evolution with ours, bringing with them extremely advanced knowledge of the universe. They knew about the living Mer-Ka-Ba, for example. That was how they traveled here (and they secretly retained this knowledge of the Mer-Ka-Ba, in the Star of David and in their sacred writings). The Jews who came to Atlantis also knew about the 72 orders of the angels. And they had much more special knowledge that remains a part of our mystery-school traditions.

If the colonizing of Atlantis had ended there, the war in Iraq would not be happening now. But something else took place in those days — and we are seeing the results.

In a very, very old time of our past, almost a million years ago, the Martians also used Mer-Ka-Ba science. But they did so without knowledge of the living Mer-Ka-Ba field. Instead, they created a physical Mer-Ka-Ba — a ten-mile-high building on Mars — to use as a space/time/dimension vehicle. In this vehicle, and without Galactic permission, they came to Earth and found their way to the 10th vortex on Atlantis. There, they also joined with our evolution here on Earth.

The incoming Martians immediately tried to take control over the Earth. In fact, both the Martians and the Jews were advanced races of beings, and either of them, if unopposed by the other, could eventually have won control. But only the Martians wanted this. The Jews were far more interested in learning the lesson that they had somehow missed in their previous evolutionary pattern.

So the Martians tried to eliminate the Jews, knowing that with the Jews out of the picture they could control everything and everyone else. However, because the Jews were so powerful, because they understood what the Martians' hidden intentions were, and because the Jews were friends with the Lemurians, it was impossible for the Martians to eliminate them. Dramatically outnumbered, unable to take control in those times, the Martians did not give up, however. Instead, they bided their time.

Time continued to flow. Thousands of years went by.

Five hundred years ago — skipping over many historical details — the world went into darkness. This event was recorded by the Japanese in their story of Amaterasu, the goddess who went into the Earth, and also by the Mayans, whose calendar shows that the world went into spiritual darkness at an exact date just over 500 years ago.

It was at this time that a new "scientific" culture was born that saw the Earth as a big rock in the sky, without Spirit. And this culture eventually came to control America and most of Europe. It was also at this time (not by coincidence) that the Illuminati, and the beginnings of the Secret Government, as it now is often called, organized to once more find a way to take control of the Earth.

The Secret Government consists of those few people who have most of the money in the world. They are not connected to any particular country. They work through international corporations, and, with their vast amount of financial and political power, they direct the course of world events to serve their own ends.

The inner three hundred members of this group, and a few of the outer ten thousand, are direct blood descendants of the original Martians. As such, they have almost no emotional or moral basis within their being. They function from intellect and pure logic only. The loss of a life means nothing to them — as long as it is not their own.

And in its bid for complete control, this inner circle of the Secret Government, made up of descendants of the original Martians, is still trying to eliminate the Jews from the face of this world.

So this war, from my way of seeing, is tens of thousands of years old.

The Secret Government is very intelligent. Although its natural tendencies would be to side with the Arabs — both of them are desert civilizations — at this point they have infiltrated every single nation in the world.

Again, their primary goal is world domination. But to achieve that, their strategy has been to eliminate the Jews. Using the Arab countries, they have been putting pressure on the Jews, trying to "drive them into the sea" so that there will no longer be a Jewish state — or any Jewish resistance to their goals.

In the last American election, a coup took place. Bush was forced into the presidency. Now, the Secret Government not only controls America, but has control of her military power. A grand plan in now in effect. How can we change this?

PART III — THE GATHERING DREAM

The war here on Earth is dwarfed by the unfathomable power of the spiritual revelation that this planet is undergoing. The final outcome of human destiny in the near future will, I believe, be determined by the people of this world — not by governing bodies or organized religion. Not by the Secret Government.

The rapid changes happening in human consciousness will eventually overcome the idea of war as a means of achieving peace. True peace can be reached only from within, and this truth will soon be a part of the world view of the billions who live on this planet. But it does not require the previous understanding of all these billions to change our consciousness. Only a few are needed. You know who you are. You are the ones who are reading this and other, similar communications.

As we evolve to this new higher level, it will become obvious even to those who can't see it yet that war never leads to peace but only to more war. That when we go up to an enemy and slap his face, he just slaps us back. Israel is trying to stop the suicide bombing by returning it with more violence, but of course retaliation is not working. It never does. It only makes things worse.

We will soon all be able to see that humans are intimately linked together in ways that, at this moment, only a few are aware of. When this awareness becomes known and lived by all, war will never again be an option.

I believe that the general awareness of this truth lies in front of us by only a few years. We — you and I — are taking human consciousness to a new harmonic level where compassion and forgiveness will become the Way of Life on Earth. We are very close.

This new awareness shows even now, in the many people all over the world who are saying that war is immoral and should be legally banned — that war should never be used except under extreme conditions. If anything good has come of the war in Iraq, it is the realization that our ideas of war have indeed changed. Never before in history has there been such widespread awareness of the immorality of war.

And even though so many Americans apparently feel that we were justified in this preemptive war with Iraq, many people worldwide are beginning to see that preemptive war is one of the worst kinds. (I personally feel that the war with Iraq could prove, in time, to be the greatest mistake America has ever made — we have yet to see its long-term effects on the political environment of the Arab world.)

IN CONCLUSION

Before you came to Earth, you knew this was not going to be easy. You knew that the future had to be changed. You knew that you had to change the images of war and pain to images of love and compassion. And we are doing exactly that.

You also knew that what happened here would have an effect everywhere in Creation.

This is not a time to give up. This is not a time to enter into weakness, darkness, and fear. In these end times, we may see every possible dark force bidding for our attention, trying to make us focus on the fear. Trying to make us become a part of the fear. Not only war, but terrible diseases and earth changes will certainly be presented to our outer view.

This is a time to become stronger than ever. It is a time to make direct connection with Mother Earth and with our Creator. It is a time to become a different kind of warrior, a warrior fighting for the hearts of humanity, for what is right. For the children and our future.

And how can we do that?

Simply by entering into our hearts and using the awesome power that resides there. We think, "I am weak, I am only one person." But we are weak only if we think we are. We are "one person" only if we think and feel the way those who seek war want us to think and feel. If we come together within our hearts, all things are possible.

The power of human intention and imagination, centered from within the heart, and not just the mind, is the power to create peace on Earth. When we create images of peace within our hearts, we alter the vibration of all hearts. For all hearts are linked. We create a Gathering Dream that will eventually reach the collective unconscious, making it possible for the People to repossess this world.

This Gathering Dream will be born in the One Heart of humanity. This Gathering Dream has a power stronger than any dictator's rule. It is a dream that will turn the tide of tyranny and change the outer world without anyone's ever aiming a single rifle.

You have this power within you, within your heart. There is a Sacred Space within your heart that has the ability to alter the outer world completely. It requires only that you become fearless and enter your own heart with hope and caring. Our greatest desires reside within the heart, and the ways and means to manifest them in this world also are there. This power has been in your heart since before the Creation of this Universe.

Creating from within your heart doesn't require you to be an expert in meditation or to have special knowledge. It requires only that you love God and wish there to be a new way on Earth. In this Sacred Space, with God, a child can move mountains. In this Sacred Space, with God, even a baby in its crib could change the course of history.

So my message to you is: Don't be overcome with the nightly news and the fears that it brings. We need to know about the Dark Side only long enough to realize how necessary we are. Only long enough to realize that we must take the time to create our own dreams of Light.

Believe in yourself. Know your intimate relationship with God. You are the son or daughter of God, the very consciousness that created the entire Universe. Do you understand? Your Father/Mother/God instilled within your heart everything you would need against all circumstances. ALL CIRCUMSTANCES. You, with God who lives in your own heart, are the ultimate power of Life.

Over the next ten years, life on Earth may change in ways that are difficult to imagine right now. But as each event happens, either negative or positive, just know that you and God are One, that the Gathering Dream of all of humanity is being born in this moment — and that this dream exists because of you.

To all of those who have asked me, "What can I do in these times," this is my answer. There is only one thing to do. Our only job is to enter into the Sacred Space of the heart, join with all the others who are there, and dream a new dream.

Then the new dream will become reality on Earth. Thank you for being alive and for caring about life so much. Without you, the tyrants of the world would take over. Because of you, the Earth is destined to be free, and the Universe will applaud you as you enter the higher worlds of Life having accomplished your sacred purpose on Earth. Thank you, Dear Ones, for being alive on Earth. I love you and honor you.
