Many of you have been experiencing problems with ftp access recently. We'd like to apologize, but all of the changes we've been going through have had some unexpected side effects. One is with the new firewall, which requires that we dedicate an IP address to one server in order for FTP to function properly. Unfortunately, when we set up barney (our primary login server) we didn't know this. If you've been having problems using barney for FTP access, this is the reason. You can either switch to SFTP (recommended -- this is far more secure than FTP) or connect to our secondary login server at login1.netmar.com. All other settings will remain the same. If you'd like to try SFTP, but aren't sure how, there are several free SFTP clients available, including FileZilla and WinSCP for Windows, and Fugu for the Mac.
