Dear Orchid Friends:

Paintings, arrangements, pottery, jewelry, and orchids . all are .Orchid Art.. Orchid lovers are fanatical in their pursuit to display their love for their revered orchids. When I think of Orchid Art, I think of all things beautiful associated with orchids.

Orchid lovers are indeed art lovers. We appreciate the artistic portrayal of our beloved flowers. The venue is inconsequential . it.s the artistic expression that captures our interest.

We orchid lovers become absorbed in our orchids and surround ourselves with all things "orchid". The colors, shapes and uniqueness of orchids deepen our interest and desires. Pins, scarves, note cards become another way to satisfy our orchid fascinations. Basic primal paintings to the refined, elegant depictions of orchid flowers captivate our attention and mesmerize us. Orchid lovers are unique.not only do we cultivate our orchid babies and find immense pleasure in their flowering, we also appreciate every artist.s creativity to heighten our senses.

Orchid place settings, candles, calendars, clothing become part of our daily lives. Favorite species, colors, the minute details of the flowers become the essence of our lives. I, too, surround myself with beautiful orchids and proudly wear my orchid pins and hand painted scarves. My orchid demitasse set adds a distinctive touch to that special dinner. Thank you notes reflect my favorite orchids and reveal a bit more of my personality.

For centuries, orchidists have had an obsession with orchids. In present day, this obsession manifests itself in a myriad of venues. Orchids are art. Art is our orchids. The two are inevitably intertwined.

Artists and orchidists appreciate the beauty and talents of each other and Mother Nature. Surrounding oneself with beauty is the ultimate reason we are Orchid Art lovers. It is a wonderful way to enjoy beautiful flowers year round and support the arts.
